Carl is an owner and account executive with over 25 years of expertise in the insurance and bonding arena. He has specialized in handling property owners, developers, contractors, manufacturers, and a wide variety of other accounts. He grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from the University of Washington in 1981.

Carl joined Lovsted Company in 1982 after a training stint at a regional insurance company. He has done everything involved with the agency, starting with personal lines, working in to commercial insurance, and became owner and manager of Lovsted Company in 1994. The agency merged with Worthington Insurance in 2000 to form the now Lovsted Worthington organization.

Carl brings a strong personal involvement to the organization as well as his diverse clientele. The goal we adhere to at Lovsted Worthington, is to have satisfied clients and to provide “one source” for all your risk management and insurance needs.

Mark is a Senior Account Executive with over 31 years of experience, with specialty experience in wholesale, manufacturing and construction risks. Mark holds a Washington State Insurance Agent’s license and Broker’s license.

Mark began his career as a claim representative and later moved into an underwriting position with Travelers Insurance Company. He then spent five years as a Vice President with Marsh & McLennan in Seattle before joining Lovsted Company, later becoming Lovsted-Worthington, in 1991.

Mark's background in claims, underwriting and as a Vice President for the world's largest insurance broker has allowed him to offer excellent service and advice to his diverse clientele. Mark's goal is to provide one source for all risk management and insurance needs.

Steven is an Account Executive practicing in the non-profit and legal sectors, where he is head of both Lovsted Worthington’s nonprofit and law firm group(s). Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from the University of California, Riverside.

Steven joined Lovsted-Worthington in 2006, representing organizations ranging from private foundations to large organizations in all matters concerning the placement of commercial insurance including professional liability, property, general liability, directors & officers, employment practices liability, auto, internet liability, ERISA, crime, workers’ compensation and umbrella.

His experience includes sitting as Program Coordinator in charge of corporate and executive fundraising for a nonprofit healthcare and later as an insurance provider in one of the nation’s largest insurance agencies. Steven’s expertise encompasses a wide variety of clientele including, but not limited to; law firms, private foundations, for-profit and non-profit firms, healthcare organizations, social service, arts organizations, private schools, industry associations, housing foundations and CPA firms. Steven is currently chair of the insurance industry campaign for the United Way of King County and has served on numerous boards and advisory committees.

Steven brings innovation, his knowledge of insurance and the insurance marketplace to each of his clients where he provides coverage analysis, risk management implementation and claim resolution. This is where he demonstrates a solid proactive approach by supporting the goals of the client by going beyond handling their business risks and insurance.

Jason is an Account Executive with over 11 years of experience, with specialty experience in construction and medical spas. In addition to his Washington State Insurance Agent’s license he holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation.

Jason began his career with Worthington Insurance, which later became Lovsted-Worthington, and is experienced in a wide variety of insurance topics handling both commercial and personal lines. He plays an active and supportive role in numerous client and industry associations and is the 2006 President of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of King County.

Sue started her career in commercial insurance in 1990 at a National Brokerage firm working on claims and small accounts. Sue quickly moved into the larger commercial accounts - with her main focus on extensive property schedules. Sue joined Lovsted Worthington Insurance in 1995 and has been an excellent account manager. She now oversees several of our larger commercial accounts and is responsible for internal commercial procedures and quality control.
